Day in the Life of a Train Vendor Personal Project

I did a project on Train Vendors for my Final Year in College wherein, I documented a day in the life of  a Train Vendor.

Travelling through Mumbai's local trains was a part of my daily life. So I decided to illustrate it. I began to observing how these vendors started their day, how they interacted with their customers, their transactions and finally their unique style of getting down from a running train! Yes, its absolutely dangerous, but that's how they do it.

I then tried to illustrate it in my style, showing different angles, capturing their mood, incorporating their dialogues
and playing with colors.

Colors and Motion were two main elements on this project.
These vendors are not like the ones we see on road. They are always in motion, whether they are in the train or running to catch another train. Loaded with beautifully colored goodies, they tempt the ladies to buy them while they travel. The tasty snacks sold by them like Bhel, Channa masala, Mango barfi, etc are like a routine snack to daily commuters.
